As a gluten intolerant person, it is not always easy, as for example with the weekly bulk purchase. The search for a suitable loaf of bread can turn out to be a challenge: ingredients that are not clearly labelled, and if they are, then they are so incomprehensible that you are confused when you stand in front of the bread shelf in the supermarket. That’s why we have the solution for you: bake gluten-free bread yourself in your own four walls!
Bake tasty gluten-free bread at home
This simple and quick recipe makes a tasty gluten-free bread in no time at all, where you can be sure that it contains exactly what is really good for you.
Ingredients for 1 loaf of bread:
- 250 g light gluten-free flour, e.g.: white rice flour, sweet potato flour
- 100 g dark gluten-free flour, e.g. amaranth flour, corn flour
- 150 g buckwheat flour
- 50 g sunflower seeds
- 50 g linseed
- 50 g sesame
- 1 cube yeast
- 1,5 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons vinegar (e.g. apple vinegar)
- 450 ml lukewarm water
- 1 tsp fat/butter for the mould
First of all, grease a king cake tin and put it aside for the time being. Then weigh the dark and light flour and put it in a bowl, as well as grind the linseed.
Next, add the grains and salt to the flour mixture and mix well. Now dissolve the yeast well in lukewarm water.
Next, add the vinegar to the flour mixture, pour in the yeast-water mixture and stir the mixture quickly. Then fill the dough into the cake tin and place it in the cold oven, but do not let the dough rise!
Now set the clock to 60 minutes and set the oven to 200° at top underheat. Important tip: never add circulating air to gluten-free baked goods!
After the baking time is over, the pan can be taken out of the oven and the bread out of the pan. This is then baked again for 10 minutes at 180°. Finally, let the gluten-free bread cool down well on a grill.
